Resolved: Trouble logging into Office365

Update – 10:15 PM:  All Office365 services have been restored


Update – 9:45 PM:  the Office365 issue is widespread and is effecting many customers.  University IT Services is continuing to work with Microsoft to resolve the problem.


Currently the University is experiencing trouble logging into Office365 resources.  This includes, Outlook online, SharePoint, Teams and all other Office365 services.

University IT Services is aware of the problem and is working with Microsoft to address this issue.



Survey Invitation Emails

A system update to the University’s ticketing system, ServiceNow, used by the Department of Information Technology to manage technology requests and incidents unexpectedly sent  survey invitations to those community members who have had open tickets in the system over the past year.

PC Support Services is aware of it and is working with ServiceNow to address the problem.  You may delete these messages.

Problems Signing into Student Email and Office 365

8:00 PM – Access to all Office365 services, including student email has been restored.


7:00 PM – Web access to Office 365 and Student Email is still currently not working.  However, we have confirmed that students can send and receive email on their mobile devices.  University IT Services and Microsoft engineers continue to work toward a resolution.

5:03 PM – There is still a problem signing into Microsoft Office 365 for student email, SkyDrivePro and Lync.  University IT Services continues to work with Microsoft engineers to restore access as soon as possible.


1:00 PM – The University is experiencing authentication issues with Microsoft Office 365 which hosts our student email system. University IT Services is aware of the problem and is working with Microsoft engineers to resolve the problem.

IT Service Interruptions This Morning

This morning between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM the campus network had two brief (under five minute) service interruptions.  This briefly affected a number of services, including the campus wireless network, PirateNet, email, Banner and printing. As of 11:00 AM all services are running normally.  University IT Services is investigating this issue.
